EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The high-level technical works at the Abrahamic Family House were awarded to Spider Access in 2021–2022. During this period, Spider Access undertook a diverse range of specialized scopes, including silicone application, façade rendering, glass panel installation, and the installation of over 600 LED lights along with electrical cabling. All activities were executed under highly challenging conditions using advanced rope access methodologies. Despite the architectural complexity and stringent requirements of the site, Spider Access ensured precision, safety, and seamless execution across all work fronts.

SCOPE OF WORK

Spider Access deployed, at any given time, more than 15 multi-skilled rope access technicians to manage the extensive and technically demanding scope of works. From the initial façade installation through electrical fit-out, glazing, and leak testing, up to final commissioning, our team maintained strict adherence to quality, safety, and project timelines.

CHALLENGES & SOLUTION

Spider access were faced with many access challenges throughout the project due to the unique architectural designs of the buildings along with its sister company designed and installed the facade access systems.During the testing and commissioning of the facade spider access needed to ensure every single square inch of the facade was methodically tested ensuring the intricate designs last long into the future.

THE TEAM

To accommodate the diverse scope requirements of the contract and maintain stringent safety standards, Spider Access ensures the presence of a highly skilled and professional team on-site, trained across various disciplines. Our team members possess a range of qualifications and certifications, including:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and NEBOSH certification, along with extensive experience in managing large-scale rope access projects. These individuals are responsible for overseeing both operational and safety aspects of the project.HSE Engineers and Officers who hold NEBOSH and IOSH certifications. Their primary role is to ensure strict adherence to our established safety policies and procedures throughout the project duration.A Senior QA/QC and rope access inspector who possesses senior IRATA Level 3 certification, NEBOSH certification, and a decade of experience in the industrial rope access sector. This individual is responsible for maintaining high quality standards and performing comprehensive inspections.A Project Coordinator with IOSH certification, tasked with managing documentation and online portals to ensure efficient project coordination.

Furthermore, all our management staff are expected to have HSE certifications, reinforcing our team’s commitment to safety.Our supervision and technicians are trained at various technical levels. We deploy rope access teams that hold IRATA certifications and further train them to obtain IPAF and PASMA certifications. This strategy has proven highly successful, offering us flexibility in efficiently allocating manpower, covering all required scopes, and enabling the client to optimize costs.
